Some would have you believe these discussions are toxic, but they actually express a valid frustration and seek to work towards a more equitable future in publishing. If you’re in the mood for a long read with lots of twists and turns, check out Vulture’s article on Sherrilyn Kenyon. You may know this author as the creator of the Dark Hunter series, or as the woman who sued Cassandra Clare over copyright issues. But her life is a lot more complicated than that. She had been going through a difficult period and believes her husband tried to poison her, but the story seems almost stranger than fiction.
