Electric Literature recently asked followers to share their literary tattoos. They’ve gathered some of the responses in a list and some of these tattoos are incredible! If you’re thinking about permanently honouring your fave books, this might convince you to go for it.

Dolly Parton and the Imagination Library

Most people know Dolly Parton for being a country music superstar, but for a number of kids she’s also “The Book Lady.” Back in 1995, Parton started the Imagination Library, a literacy program that provides children with books. She originally expected to help her home community, but the project has grown considerably and has now delivered 100 million books! Writing Advice from Louisa May Alcott

Louisa May Alcott earned her place in the literary canon with the publication of her semi-autobiographical novel Little Women. The success of this tale of sisters inspired many readers, so its no surprise that they wrote to Alcott for advice. Lit Hub has shared Alcott’s writing advice to a letter writer identified as Miss Churchill. The advice isn’t perhaps the most optimistic view of writing, but it is rather practical.
