This should be approached with sensitivity and caution. You don't want to take opportunities from marginalized people, do harm, or cause offense. These stories will make you feel like you’re not alone, inspire you to persist in your creative endeavours, and remind you that you're the most important judge of your work.

The Matilda Challenge

The 1996 film based on Roald Dahl’s Matilda is having a moment right now. The Matilda Challenge is the latest video trend to go viral.

Participants in the challenge dance around to “Little Bitty Pretty One” by Thurston Harris as objects “fly” around the room to recreate the iconic movie scene where Matilda embraces her powers. Matilda herself (a.k.a. Mara Wilson) even approves.
